Cookie policy and settings

This page explains what this website stores on your device, why, and how to change your choice. Australia doesn't have a specific cookie law; we ask for consent before any optional analytics because we think that's the right approach, and because analytics can involve personal information under the Privacy Act 1988.

Strictly necessary (always on)

Name	Type	Purpose	Duration
bs_consent_v1	Local storage	Remembers your analytics choice	Until you change it or clear browser data
bs_booking_draft_v1, bs_accident_draft_v1	Session storage (this tab only)	Keeps the answers you've typed if you go back or refresh, so you don't lose them	Cleared when you send the form or close the tab
bs_attr_v1	Session storage (this tab only)	Remembers how you arrived (the referring website's name, any campaign tags in the link and the first page you visited) so it can be sent with an enquiry or booking request. Nothing is sent unless you submit a form	Cleared when you close the tab
bsa.session_token, bsa.session_data, bsa.dont_remember, bsa.two_factor	Cookies (staff only)	Keep staff signed in to the admin area securely, including multi-factor sign-in	Session or up to 12 hours

Visitors to the public website who aren't staff don't receive any cookies from us unless they allow analytics.

Analytics (optional, off unless you allow it)

If the site owner switches analytics on, it only loads after you choose Allow analytics. It measures page views and whether forms were completed or abandoned, and which step a form was on — never what you typed, uploaded or your reference number. Staff who are signed in are excluded.

Provider (if enabled)	What it stores	Duration
Plausible Analytics	No cookies	—
Google Analytics 4	Cookies _ga and _ga_<id>	Up to 2 years
This website	bs_evt_… local-storage markers so a completed form is counted once	Until you clear browser data

If you withdraw consent, analytics stops immediately, and Google Analytics cookies set on this website are removed.

Embedded content

We don't embed maps, videos or social media widgets from other companies. “Get directions” opens Google Maps in a new tab, where Google's own privacy terms apply.
